“I don’t want to be a burden,” are seven words no one will ever hear any of the oldies in Congress like Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell, or Chucky Schumer say because being a burden means a person is old.

And being old isn’t good. Old means you have no value. You have pass your time and therefore have nothing to give.

The feeling of nothingness is something that no one, young or old, wants to feel because it means they’re less than a human being who produces and contributes to the betterment of society. Therefore, in order to feel like they are doing something, ol’ folks work.

Retirement is not part of their vocabulary. Don’t get me wrong, now! There are ol’ folks who “claim” they want to retire, but they don’t. They are just trying to get you young folks’ hands out of their pockets so they can stash enough money away to vacation in the Bahamas.

Just look at the lifestyle that Pelosi, McConnell, and Schumer have. They are living it up. They have nice houses, big cars, and several credit cards. Living it up is what they are doing. So, don’t expect any of them to retire before ol’ Man Death comes to take them to either the Upper Room or the Lower Room.

They are going to stay right there and work in Congress. Nobody is about to send any of them out to pasture, down to Florida, to one of those fancy-schmancy ol’ folks homes where all they do is ride around in golf carts, watch old episodes of Family Feud, and play bingo all day. No sir! Un-unh. It ain’t happenin’ , cap’n.

They are going to stay right there and work in Congress so that they can contribute to the betterment of society until the good Lawd calls them home.

Ol’ folks have to work too.
